Jewellery Care

Congratulations on investing in beautiful jewellery! We wish you lots of joy and elegance as you wear your new pieces. By following these tips, you can enjoy the lasting beauty and brilliance of your jewellery for years to come.

Regular Cleaning

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe your jewellery after wearing.

Clean your jewellery regularly with mild soap and warm water. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage gemstones and metals.

Routine Maintenance

Inspect your jewellery regularly for loose stones or settings and get them professionally checked and cleaned at least once a year with us or your preferred goldsmith or jeweler of choice.

Re-polish and re-plate white gold jewellery periodically to maintain its shine and finish.

Proper Storage

Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or a lined jewellery box to prevent scratches and tangling.

Keep jewellery away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve its color and integrity.

Safe Wearing and Handling

Put on your jewellery after applying makeup, perfume, and hairspray to avoid exposure to chemicals.

Remove jewellery before swimming, bathing, or doing household chores to prevent damage from chlorine, saltwater, or harsh detergents.

Having trouble getting your ring off? Attempt to remove it without a ring cutter first. If you're unable to remove it and notice your finger swelling or changing color (turning red or purple), it's crucial to seek help immediately. Visit your local emergency room or fire department—they have specialized tools designed to safely slip under the ring and cut through the metal without harming your skin.

Jewellery Appraisal and Insurance

Investing in jewellery is not only about owning beautiful pieces but also about safeguarding their value. We recommend all our clients ensure their precious jewellery is appraised every few years and insured. An appraisal provides an accurate valuation, reflecting the true worth of your items, while insurance offers peace of mind, protecting against loss, theft, or damage.
