Our founder, Jenny, was enchanted by the world of gemstones from a young age. Surrounded by family members who wore jewellery and watches, Jenny was immersed in an environment where pieces of beauty told their own stories. Her father’s stunning crystal clusters from Alpine hikes and her mother’s elegant, timeless jewellery inspired a lifelong passion for minerals and gemstones that would eventually shape her career.

As Jenny’s fascination with gemstones grew, she began to notice gaps in the jewellery industry that she felt compelled to address. Despite the availability of fine jewellery, she often encountered situations where salespeople struggled to provide meaningful insights about the pieces they were selling. Questions about the authenticity, value, and provenance of jewellery were met with uncertainty, leaving Jenny feeling uncertain about the transparency of the market. Furthermore, she found that most jewellery sellers were heavily focused on diamonds, with very few offering a curated selection of coloured gemstones, which piqued her personal interest.

The traditional jewellery shopping experience also left Jenny wanting more. The pressure of shopping in crowded stores, often with little privacy and the constant presence of other customers, made the experience less than ideal. She realized that the process felt rushed and impersonal, with no room for deep connection or thoughtful exploration of the pieces. She envisioned an experience where clients could have the space to discover jewellery without the constraints of time or the discomfort of being watched by other customers.

Our founder also noticed a disturbing trend: mass-produced jewellery, often overpriced, was made with lower-quality gemstones. While these pieces were marketed as luxury, they lacked the craftsmanship and individuality she believed every piece of fine jewellery should possess. The mass production of similar designs left little room for personal expression, and Jenny felt strongly that jewellery should be as unique as the person wearing it.
